Experience

Ronald (Ron) is involved in a broad-based accounting, tax and consulting practice with a sub-specialty in litigation support for attorneys with complex business litigation matters in various industries. He also focuses on the food, wine and entertainment industries.

Ron has worked as a CPA and financial expert at several well-known organizations such as: Dun & Bradstreet, Ernst & Young, Kellogg & Andelson Accountancy Corporation before coming to Gumbiner Savett in 1997. Ron is currently an Executive Vice President at Gumbiner Savett. He is the shareholder in charge of the firm’s litigation support services practice, oversees the firm’s risk management program and chairs the firm’s long range planning committee.

As the leader of the firm’s litigation support practice, Ron was recently involved in assignments as the accountant for the trustee in the Queen Mary bankruptcy case, and as the Independent Accountant appointed by the parties to a major financial accounting dispute.

Ron has performed litigation support procedures and testified as an expert witness concerning various accounting and financial matters throughout his career; his experience includes testifying in connection with business litigation matters, technical accounting issues, and the results of investigative accounting procedures.

Ron has testified in Federal Bankruptcy Court; Federal District Court; Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside County Superior Courts; and in various mediation and arbitration procedures; he has performed investigative accounting procedures for the State Bar of California, and acted as special accountant and mediator in various business accounting disputes.

Wine collecting is a passion of Ron’s; he is a frequent speaker on food and wine pairing and tasting.
